Welcome to join SCCCA/ICS family. This is Dr. Shu-Fen Chen, Executive Director/ Head of School of SCCCA/ICS. It is my honor to serve in this wonderful organization and I am delighted to share our school with you.
Irvine Chinese School is a non-profit organization founded in 1976 by visionary leaders and supportive parents to serve the community’s needs on learning Chinese language and culture. From an enrollment of less than 40 students 33 years ago, ICS now enrolls over 1000 students in Kindergarten through 12 grades in the weekend program. We are grateful to have our permanent campus and thanks for all the donations and many volunteers’ efforts and dedications. Irvine Chinese School is not only a weekend Chinese School, we also provides weekday community classes, after school enrichment classes, and summer camp to meet the needs of the community. The school continues to be innovative as we grow, always striving to evolve while honoring our core value.
One of our unique features of our program is that our teachers are capable of incorporating
modern technology into teaching. Our dedicated teachers spent countless hours in training and in
preparing their teaching lessons. We also provide cultural enrichment classes for learners to
understand Chinese culture and to have fun in the learning process. We are a big family and our
parents are the most important supporters for us. Their diverse cultural background enriches our
campus life. The mutual trust and respect among parents and school creates a supportive
environment that encourages continuous improvement.
