ICS community program will hold an Open House on 4/3 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Other than free community classes such as dance, music, drawing, beading, paper art, Chinese chess, Kung-Fu, computer, etc., there is a book fair offering all kinds of Chinese books and textbooks with discounts. You may also win free community classes through a raffle. No registration is necessary. It is a wonderful event for your whole family to enjoy! Please come to join us!

- 校內演講和詩詞朗誦比賽報名已截止，謝謝各位同學的踴躍參與，今年總共有156名同學報名參賽。詩詞朗誦比賽將於下週日 (3月21日) 舉行，演講比賽將於下下週日 (3月28日) 舉行。學務處會於本週日 (3月14日) 公佈各組參賽同學之名單、教室及時間。其中詩詞朗誦初小組因參賽人數眾多，將分成兩組分別於中午 12:00 pm及 1:00 pm比賽。
Application of 2010 ICS Speech and Poem Recital Contests has been closed. We have a total of 156 ICS students registered to participate in the contests. The Poem Recital Contest will be held on 03/21/10, and the Speech Contest will be held on 03/28/10. The Student Affairs Department will post each group’s contestant name list, contest time & location on school’s bulletin board on this coming Sunday (03/14/10). The Poem Recital’s Intermediate Beginner Group will be divided into two sub-groups for contest due to its large size.
- 請家長將學生選修調查表填好，每位學生按喜好依志願選擇3個課，於這週日3/14前交給各班老师，以便學校提供學生喜愛的選修課，並優先保留學生的選修課名額。
Pleaser return the elective survey to your teacher by Sunday, 3/14. Each student may list 3 choices in the order of preference. The survey will help ICS reserve the space for your child(ren) and plan for the elective classes for next school year.
- 學校在4月春假期間有提供週一至週五、全天的春假快樂學習營，活動包括各了德、智、體、群，並著重多樣性和趣味性，已開始接受報名。
ICS has offered a full-day mini camp (Monday through Friday) for the spring break. The activities include sports, art & crafts, speech & writing, and other academic learning, etc. Please sign up in the office.

The 2010 Chinese Lunar New Year Celebration Performance (NYCP) Event’s DVD is available for pre-order at $12 presale price till April 30th. Order forms can be obtained at Student Affairs Department. It is estimated that the production DVDs will be distributed around mid May.

ICS scheduled a new kindergarten Chinese class every Saturday morning from 9:00am to 12pm starting Feb 27, 2010. Welcome beginners 5 and up to sign up.
- 口才領導訓練班(Toastmasters)將從這星期開始星期三、星期五及星期日的會議，這種訓練可幫助公眾講演，主持會議，有效溝通，學習做一個領導者，10-13歲學生會議星期三5:30-6:30pm，14-17歲及成人會議星期五晚上7-8:30pm，星期日成人會議1:30-3:00pm，星期五及星期日會議會有示範說明，歡迎親自前來瞭解。
Toastmasters meetings will start in this week: Wednesday 5:30-6:30pm for age 10-13, Friday 7-8:30pm for age 14-17 and adults, Sunday 1:30-3:00pm for adults. There is a demo for Friday & Sunday meetings this week. This program provides training in public speaking, conducting successful meetings, effective communications, and becoming a leader. Please come to check it out.
